Johnny Wayne Lambert

Spartanburg, SC- Johnny Wayne Lambert, 62, husband of Judy Leonard Lambert, died Saturday, September 13, 2014. Born December 30, 1951 in Liberty, NC, Johnny was a son of the late George Monroe and Helen Clapp Lambert. After attending public schools in Liberty, NC, he moved to Spartanburg, SC in 1973. Spartanburg was the place he loved to live and work and a place he called home. Johnny was mechanically inclined and loved the challenge of fixing things. He will forever be remembered as the loving husband, father, and grandfather that he was with a kind heart and gentle spirit. In addition to his wife, Johnny is survived by his son, Timothy Robbs of Spartanburg, SC; daughters, Kim Lambert and Kerri Lamb of Snow Camp, NC; a brother, Jerry Lambert (Lois); a sister, Judy Clarida (Grady); grandchildren, Kandi Jones (Grelan), and Krystal Sykes, of Graham, NC, Kristina and Brandon Lamb of Snow Camp, NC, Maddison and John Lucas Rice of Roebuck, SC; great grandchildren, Grayson and Karson Jones of Graham, NC; a special nephew, Douglas Henderson; two brother in-laws; three sister in-laws; and his best four legged friend and companion, Jordan Heart Lambert. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 17th, 5:00-7:00PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 18th, 11:00AM in the Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In remembrance of Johnny, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
