Spartanburg, SC- George Moore, 54, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 26, 2014.
Born January 30, 1960 in Spartanburg, SC, George was the son of Stanley Delaney Moore, Sr., and Eleanor Stephens Moore. He honorably served his country in the US Marines, and worked many years as an electronics technician. George enjoyed photography, snow skiing, music, and playing chess. George was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, George is survived by a son, Andy Moore; grandsons, Drew Black, Isaac Moore, and Silas Moore; sister, Jaspar Stamey and her husband, Billy; niece, Holly Stamey and her husband, Todd Smith; two great nephews, Mylo and August Smith; and several beloved aunts and cousins.
He was predeceased by a son, Stanley D. Moore, III.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 30th, 1:30PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Jim Oliver, Reverend Joe Burnett, and Reverend Dewain Phillips.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Pallbearers will be Mark Wofford, Christopher Coley, Phillip Barone, Billy Stamey, Chris Cash, and Kevin Black.
A private burial will be held in the church cemetery.
