Peggy Love Garrett

Peggy Love Garrett Moore, SC- Peggy Garrett, 75, wife of the late Billy Frank Garrett, Sr., died unexpectedly and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Born in Spartanburg, SC, Peggy was a daughter of the late William Leonard Love, Sr., and Bertie Satterfield Love. She attended Spartanburg High School, class of 1957. Peggy was a great story teller and loved to laugh, talk, and be surrounded by family and friends. She really enjoyed all sports especially NASCAR and cheering for the Clemson Tigers and Carolina Panthers. Peggy was a member of Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church and attended the Young at Heart group. She was also a member of the Peach Blossom Car Club and the West End Girls. Peggy is survived by her daughter, Lisa Garrett of Moore, SC; two sons, Billy Garrett, Jr. (Lesley) of Marietta, GA, and Michael Garrett (Michelle) of Chesnee, SC; three grandchildren, Abbey and Emily Garrett of Chesnee, SC, and Harrison Garrett of Marietta, GA; two brothers, Donald Love (Mary Ann) of Moore, SC, and Robert Love (Judy) of Greer, SC; and a sister, Shirley Sparnell (Jack) of Smyrna, GA. In addition to her husband, Peggy is predeceased by a brother, William Love, Jr.; and sister, Edith Trail. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 6th, 5:00-7:00PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Sunday, December 7th, 2:00PM at Dunbar Funeral Home, officiated by Dr. D.J. Horton, 690 Southport Road, Roebuck, SC 29376. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens. In remembrance of Peggy, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals, P O Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304 or the charity of one’s choice. The family is at the home.
