Douglas Howell Carter

Spartanburg, SC- Doug Carter, 56, husband of Melanie Nyhart Carter, died Saturday, January 3, 2015. Doug was a son of Shirly Gayle Carter and the late Albert Carter. He was a former employee of Exopack. In addition to his wife and mother, Doug is survived by his children, Jessica and Nicholas Carter; and siblings, David and Debra. A celebration of Doug’s life will be held Thursday, January 8th, 6:00-8:00PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Melanie Carter for the benefit of Jessica and Nick Carter’s College Fund, 217 Midway Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
