Doris Fowler Williams

Roebuck, SC- Doris Williams, 81, wife of the late R. V. Williams, died Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Born in Roebuck, SC, Doris was a daughter of the late Wilford and Catherine Hembree Fowler. She was a graduate of Roebuck High School, class of 1951. Doris was a seamstress all her life, and a member of Fairview Free Will Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Petty and her husband, Gerald; brothers, Buford and Ray Fowler; a sister, Frances Lawter; granddaughter, Stephanie Petty; and twin great granddaughters, Addison Olivia and Charlee Grace Petty. The family will receive friends Friday, January 9th, 1:00-2:00PM at Fairview Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00PM in the sanctuary, officiated by Reverend Tim Hackett. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairview Free Will Baptist Church, 2058 Chesnee Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
