Claude Richard "Toddy" Pruitt

Spartanburg, SC- Claude “Toddy” Pruitt, 80, husband of Deloris “Dee” Painter Pruitt, went to be with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, January 11, 2015. Born September 3, 1934 in Glendale, SC, Toddy was a son of the late Modesa and Joseph Pruitt. He was a life member of Delmar Masonic Lodge, past president of the Spartanburg Shrine Club, past chief of Hejaz Warriors, member of Past Presidents Club of Spartanburg Shrine Club, and served for many years on the Hejaz Temple Refreshment Committee. Toddy was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Donna Pruitt, Lynn Woody (Bobby), and Ricky Pruitt; step children, Kelli Clune and Randy Blain (Lisa); grandchildren, Amanda Polick, Jeremy Blain (Stacy), Joel Blain (Christa), Amy Toney (Jerry), Jade and Georgia Blain, and Ashley Clune; and great grandchildren, Alli and Charleigh Toney, Karma and Logan Blain. Toddy was predeceased by his first wife, Janet Mabry Pruitt. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 13th, 10:00-11:00AM at Dunbar Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11:00AM in the Chapel, officiated by Reverend Ricky Lunsford, who was like a son to him. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the home and the home of his daughter, Lynn. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 950 W.
