Sam Herbert Lee

Spartanburg, SC- Sam Herbert Lee, Sr., 89, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Sam was a son of the late Claude A. and Annie Crocker Lee. He was a retired maintenance technician with Spartanburg School District 7. Sam was of the Baptist faith. Sam is survived by a son, Bobby Lee and his longtime companion, Patricia Hill, of Spartanburg; daughter, Sherrie Lee Metcalf and her husband, Edward, of Inman; a sister, Annie Bell Matthews of Boiling Springs; many nieces and nephews; and his longtime companion, Olive Price of Gaffney. He is predeceased by his wife, Margaret Doris Lee; seven brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 23rd, 11:00AM at Dunbar Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
