Elaine Roslyn Bruce Wood

Roebuck, SC – Elaine Wood, 79, wife of the late Eugene Wood, died Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at her home. Born November 6, 1935 in Reevesville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Caroline Dukes Bruce. Elaine was a lifelong active member of Roebuck Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Elaine is survived by three sons, Randall E. Wood (Myra) of Lyman, Bruce D. and Brian L. Wood, both of Moore; two grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Hub Bruce of Roebuck; and three sisters, Margaret Tapp (Jay) of Roebuck, Flo Sudduth of Cary, NC, and Blondell Mease (Charles) of Fletcher, NC. She was predeceased by three siblings, Merle White, Ambrose and Robert Bruce. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks for the love and care provided by Jennifer Nowack. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 14th, 1:00-2:00PM at Roebuck Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin in the sanctuary at 2:00PM, officiated by Reverend Dr. Tim Williams and Reverend Dr. Ondra Black. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
