Roebuck, SC- Charles Montgomery, 83, husband of JoAnn Smith Montgomery, died Monday, March 30, 2015.
Born December 22, 1931, Charles was a son of the late Lanham and Minnie Switzer Montgomery. He honorably served his country in the U.S Marines during the Korean War. Charles served as a volunteer firefighter at Roebuck Fire Department for 33 years and was a member of Roebuck Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife of 63 years, he is survived by a daughter, Susan Montgomery of Woodruff; a son, Kenneth Montgomery of Roebuck; granddaughter, Amanda Rambish and her husband, Matt, of Cross Anchor; a grandson, Chuck Montgomery and his wife, Miranda, of Roebuck; nine great grandchildren that he loved dearly; and a sister, Merle Satterfield.
Charles was predeceased by a great grandson, Jacob Rambish; four sisters, Frances Starkman, Margaret Montgomery, Mary Brock, and Sarah Bryant; and two brothers, Pat and Tom Montgomery.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 1st, 6:00-8:00PM at Dunbar Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be Thursday, April 2nd, 3:00PM in the Roebuck Presbyterian Church Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Ray Bobo.
