Spartanburg, SC- Louise Olivia Hughes, 89, wife of the late William George Hughes, passed on to her eternal life to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 4, 2015. Born March 14, 1926, Louise was a daughter of the late James Levi and Leavie Olivia Pye Hughes. She worked with Reeves Brothers for many years and was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. Louise will be remembered for the love of her Lord, family, and joyous spirit. She was always encouraging others, found the good in all things, and created around her unconditional love. Louise was a beautiful, gentle lady who gave inspiration to those she touched. Louise leaves behind to cherish wonderful memories, a daughter, Gail Bailey and her husband, Horace; a grandson, Tim Bailey and his wife, Anne; a granddaughter, Tina Wilson and her husband, Tommy; great grandchildren, William Dixon Bailey, Courtney Alexander Bailey, Bailey Louise Wilson, and Thomas Dean Wilson, all of Pauline, SC. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Landrum Dean Hughes, Lerlie Hughes, Leona Bulman, Leotha Bridwell, Marie Elizabeth Hughes, and Frances Katharine Hughes. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the love, care, and friendship provided by the staff, caregivers, and nurses from Eden Terrace and Regency Hospice. A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 5th, 6:00 – 7:30PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Burial will be private, officiated by Dr. Greg Butler. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Philadelphia Baptist Church, Family Life Center, Building Fund, P O Box 220, Pauline SC 29374.
