John E. Haley Inman-John Edwin Haley died Friday, June 5, 2015 at Rosecrest Healthcare Center, where he resided since 2005. John was born in Asheville, NC, on his father’s birthday, January 27, 1929. He was a son of the late Ed and Bonnie Jackson Haley. John graduated from Spartanburg High School class of 1947. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. John was married to Inez Mason in 1950 and they lived together for 46 years until her passing. In 1998 John married Angie Hendrix and their union lasted until her death in 2009. John worked for the Norfolk Southern Railroad for 40 years, until his retirement. He was a member of Roebuck Baptist Church and a former member of Hayne Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon and Financial Secretary. John is survived by his very special brother in law, Jack Mason; sister in law, Alice Gowens; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wives, John was predeceased by his brothers, Jim, George, Henry, and Orien; sisters, Nancy and Elizabeth. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at noon, at Good Shepherd Memorial Park, Boiling Springs, SC.
