Christopher Nottingham Keith
Campobello, SC – Christopher N. Keith, 23, son of Kim and Kristi Link Keith, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, June 22, 2015.
Born June 6, 1992, Christopher attended Spartanburg Day School and graduated from Landrum High School in 2011. He was an Eagle Scout in Troop 2, earning 26 merit badges. Christopher was an avid outdoorsman, sports fan, and an accomplished athlete, with a black belt in American Karate. He excelled in soccer, water skiing and snow skiing. Christopher was the recipient of several Junior Scholar Awards and was very involved in the youth group at First Presbyterian Church with a passion for mission work. He was a Finance Major at Clemson University and a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
Christopher embraced the world with outstretched arms and had a gift for making everyone feel special. He loved fiercely and without abandon. It has been said “the flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long” and this is true of Christopher’s legacy.
In addition to his parents, Christopher is survived by his sister, Lilla; brother, Graham of the home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. McGrath III; paternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. John E. Keith; great grandfather, John Link, Sr.; aunts, Dr. and Mrs. Edward R. Blocker of Beaufort; cousins, Riley, Cali, and Sarah; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Eckert of Atlanta, GA; cousins, Jacqueline, Emily and Keith; uncles, Dr. and Mrs. John E. Keith, Jr.; cousins, Hailey, Jackson and Georgia; Mr. and Mrs. Hunter M. Keith of Atlanta, GA; cousins, Katie and Maddie; Mr. Thomas M. McGrath, IV of Columbia; Christopher’s girlfriend, Jenna Levenson of Potomac, MD and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Levenson and brothers Brandon & Michael; and many relatives that loved and adored him.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, John Link, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church of Spartanburg, officiated by the Reverend Tom Evans, Reverend Joanne R. Hull, and Reverend Jeff Smith.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church social hall.
