Jim Willie Dixon

Spartanburg, SC- James Willie Dixon, 84, husband of the late Edith W. Dixon, died Wednesday, July 08, 2015. Born September 5, 1930 in Lexington, SC, Jim was a son of the late Henry T. and O. Geneva Hair Dixon. He honorably served his country in the US Army. After more than 30 years of service, Jim retired from CSX RailRoad as an electrical supervisor. He was a member of LMM, Joy’s Men of Plenty, and Joy Lutheran Church. Jim is survived by his daughter, JoAnn Dixon of Moore, SC; his son, Jimmy Dixon and his wife, Debby, of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Nicky Dixon and Jay Dixon, both of Spartanburg; and a great grandson, Sully Dixon. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 11th, 9:30 – 10:30AM at Joy Lutheran Church. Funeral services will follow in the sanctuary at 11:00AM, officiated by The Reverend Lane D. Bembenek. Committal will be held in Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family is at their respective homes.
