Patricia Painter Gossett

Patricia Painter Gossett Spartanburg- Patricia P. Gossett, 75, wife of Houston Gossett, died Saturday, August 15, 2015. Patricia was born on June 24, 1940 to the late Samuel Proctor and Fay Davis Painter. She was a graduate of Fairforest High School, Class of 1958, a nurse to her husband for eighteen years, her girls biggest cheerleader, never missing an event, and a second mom to many. In addition to her husband, Patricia is survived by three daughters, Kim Philbeck (Deno) of Gastonia, NC, Tammy Graves (Danny) of Rowley, Mass., Amy Penfield (Les) of Blythewood, SC; and a brother, Bob Painter of Gainesville, GA. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Matt Gentry, Sam and Adam Reynolds, Daniel and Rebecca Graves, Landon and Cooper Penfield; and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens The family will welcome friends at the home following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals; 419 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC.
