Nell Griffin Morrow

Spartanburg, SC- Nell Griffin Morrow, 89, wife of the late Roy Lee Morrow, died Thursday, September 3, 2015. Born June 28, 1926, Nell was a daughter of the late Joel R. and Lois F. Griffin. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. Nell was a caretaker for her mother and husband in their latter years and always enjoyed being with her family. She loved playing with her grand and great grandchildren and telling stories of their fun times together. Her Lord gave her peace and strength throughout her life and she always shared her faith with others. Nell is survived by her daughter, Carol DeLaddy and her husband, Gene; her sons, David Morrow and his wife, Nancy, and Phil Morrow and his wife, Ethel; grandchildren, Kim Aghjayan and her husband, Garo, Betsy Thomas and her husband, Joe, Julie Wheatley and her husband, Mac, Jennings Morrow, Griffin Morrow and his wife, Brittany, Catherine Morrow, Carlton Morrow, and Charlotte Morrow; ten great grandchildren; and a brother, Joe Griffin and his wife, June. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Jean Wofford. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 8th, 10:00-11:00AM at First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. Funeral services will follow in the Davis Chapel at 11:00AM, officiated by Reverend Bob Neely. A private burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
