Boiling Springs, SC- Christopher Todd Johnson, 42, husband of Courtney Catoe Johnson, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 24, 2015. Born January 26, 1973 in Rock Hill, SC, Todd was a son of J T Johnson, Jr. and Catherine Christopher Johnson. He graduated from Broome High School and Presbyterian College. Todd obtained his B. S. from MUSC in Physical Therapy and his MBA from Gardner Webb University. He was an avid Clemson fan and enjoyed camping, hiking, and fishing with his boys and friends. Todd was an exceptional leader in his church and community and a member of First Baptist Spartanburg. He was a loving son, brother, husband, and father and will be deeply missed by those who knew him. In addition to his parents and wife, Todd is survived by his sons, David Gregory Johnson and Luke Catoe Johnson, both of the home; a brother, Michael David Johnson (Whitney) of Greenville, SC; a sister, Christine Johnson Sawyer (Dean) of Wake Forest, NC; mother and father in-law, Gregory and Beverly Catoe of Boiling Springs, SC; and nieces and nephews, Selah Johnson, William, Kyle, and Davis Sawyer. The family will receive friends Monday, September 28th, 1-2:30PM at First Baptist Spartanburg in the sanctuary. A celebration of Todd’s life will immediately follow in the sanctuary at 2:30PM, officiated by Reverend Dr. Don Wilton. A graveside ceremony will be held in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens following the service. The family will continue to receive friends at the home. In remembrance of Todd, memorials may be made to the Todd Johnson Memorial Fund, in care of First Baptist Spartanburg, 250 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
