Spartanburg, SC- Joshua Richard Lee, 20, died Sunday, October 11, 2015. Born in Spartanburg, SC on August 13, 1995, Josh was the son of Johnny Richard Lee, Jr. and Laurie Floyd Lee. He was a member of the Broome High School’s football team and a long distance runner for the track and field team before graduating in 2013. Josh was currently attending USC Upstate, majoring in Physical Education, where he also participated on the cross country and track team and served as an orientation leader. He was employed with White’s Pine St. Exxon Station. Josh was a member of First Baptist Church in Cowpens. In addition to his parents, Josh is survived by his sister, Macy Nicole Lee; his girlfriend, Courtney Reilly; aunts, Lisa Davidson, Tammy Jordan (Mark), and April Clark (Terry); maternal grandmother, Libby Mabry Floyd; paternal grandmother, Jo Lee; Junie and Irene White; and numerous cousins. Josh was predeceased by maternal grandfather, T. M. Floyd; and paternal grandfather, Johnny R. Lee. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 14th, 11:00AM at the First Baptist Church of Cowpens, officiated by Dr. William Westafer. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will include Christopher Lambert, Hunter Jordan, Heath Jordan, Josh Crocker, Matthew Clark, Nick Crocker, Nick Bryson, and Sam Cheshier. Honorary pallbearers will be the USC Upstate Cross Country Team. The family will receive friends at the home, 725 Bethesda Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29302. In remembrance of Josh, memorials may be made to USC Upstate Foundation, c/o Cross Country Team, 800 University Way, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
