James Henry Schell, Jr.

Inman, SC- James Henry Schell, Jr., 76, husband of Laurie Taylor Schell, died Friday, October 16, 2015. Born January 17, 1939 in Asheville, NC, James was a son of the late James Henry Schell, Sr. and Ellen Irven Schell. He honorably served his country in the US Air Force. James was a member of the American Legion Post 200 in Boiling Springs, a Shriner, and past master of the Spartan Masonic Lodge #70. He was a member of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church. In addition to his wife, James is survived by his son, James Matthew Schell (Kate) of Charleston, SC; step son, Jerry Randolph Burnett (Denise) of Savannah, GA; step daughter, Ashlyn Taylor O’Brian of Spartanburg, SC; a brother, Larry Schell (Darlene) of Landrum, SC; and five grandchildren, Joshua James and Brianna Renee Schell, Jerry Randolph, III and Taylor Jade Burnett, and Lauren Allison O’Brian. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 24th, 3PM at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church. Committal will follow in the church cemetery following the service.
