Patricia Lea Brown Rankin

Spartanburg, SC – Patricia Brown Rankin, 45, died Tuesday, October 20, 2015. Patty was born on August 28, 1970 to Nancy Galloway Wall and the late James Clinton Brown, Jr. Patty grew up in Norfolk, VA and attended Norfolk Christian Schools. She graduated from NCS and went on to fulfill her passion for gymnastics. Patty became an award-winning coach, teaching on an elite level. She continued her life of many battles with ultimate victory in Christ. In addition to her mother, Nancy Wall and her husband Bob of Roebuck, Patty is survived by her brother Michael L. Brown of St. Augustine, FL, his wife Laura and her most outstanding niece and possible future gymnast, Madeline Grace. Her step-sister Debbie Brown of Hellam, PA and her step-brother Jimmy Brown of Lancaster, PA. Memorial services were private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Norfolk Christian Schools.
