Spartanburg, SC- Hazel Lamb Bennett, 101, wife of the late G. Mack Bennett, died Monday, November 16, 2015 at her home.
Born October 9, 1914 in Union, SC, Hazel was a daughter of the late Joseph Layton and Mary Ellen Lee Lamb. She was a sales clerk for Carolina Cash and retired after more than 50 years of service. Hazel loved to sew and enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and her grandsons play baseball. She was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
Hazel is survived by her daughter, Del Brown; granddaughter, Tammy Brown Johnson and her husband, Joel; great grandsons, Bennett and Andrew Johnson; a sister, Ruth Gregory; a brother, Ralph Lamb; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 19th, 2PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, officiated by Reverend Eddie Traxler.
The family is at the home.
