Thurman Robert Martin

Thurman R. Martin Moore – Thurman Robert Martin, 91, husband of JoAnne Robbins Martin, died Friday, November 20, 2015. Thurman was born on May 22, 1924 to the late James Virgil and Lula Tate Martin. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who faithfully served his country in the US Navy and was a graduate of Wofford College. In addition to his wife, Thurman is survived by a son, Jeffery T. Martin (Roxanna) of Cross Anchor; daughters, Lisa M. Grant (Jeff) of Moore, Jill G. Martin of Boiling Springs, and a brother, Bernard A. Martin of Spartanburg. He was blessed with seven grandchildren, Sarah, Lenora, Todd, Hannah, Logan, Heather, Brittany; seven great-grandchildren, Trinity, Savana, Grayson, Atlee, Evan, Ethan, and Solomon. Thurman was predeceased by a son, Robert Mark Martin. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel.
