Johnny Leland Millwood

Spartanburg, SC- Johnny Leland Millwood, 78, husband of Doris Mae Millwood, died Thursday, November 26, 2015. Born June 18, 1937 in Greer, SC, Johnny was a son of the late Jack Dennis and Lucy Blanche Lee Millwood. He honorably served his country in the US Airforce and was employed with Parker-Hannifin Corporation for more than 30 years. Johnny enjoyed a good western, baseball, Clemson football, and was an avid fisherman. He was a member of Glendale Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Doris, Johnny is survived by his son, Jefre Millwood, and his wife, Donna; daughter, Susan Mathis; step-daughter, Tammy Bradley; grandchildren, Autumn Jolly, Jefre Millwood, II, Brittany Lake, Jonathan Lake, Jr., Adam Lake, Jordy Waldrop, Tiffany, and Jason Hooper, and Ryan DeYoung; four great grandchildren, Parker, Adelyn, Piper, and Rowan; a brother, Jack D. Millwood, Jr.; a sister, Mary Adams; and his faithful canine companion, Shallow. Johnny was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer Neal; a step-son, Jeffrey Biggs; and a sister, Ann Hall. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 29th, 4-6PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 30th, 2PM at Dunbar Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend Kenny Moore. Burial will be held in Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the home of his son, 637 Breckenwood Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29301. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
