Margaret Poole Fort

Spartanburg, SC- Margaret Poole Fort, of 226 Beechwood Drive, Spartanburg, South Carolina, died Sunday, November 29, 2015, at home. Born February 9, 1935, in Boston, Massachusetts, Margaret was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Wallace H. Poole of Johnson City, Tennessee. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Fort Bridgforth of Charleston, SC; two sons, Dr. Daniel Wilkins Fort of Charlottesville, VA, and William Acrill Fort (Elizabeth) of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren, Daniel Fort Bridgforth (Kesler), James Cabaniss Bridgforth (Emily), Duncan Magee Fort, Anne Wickliffe Fort, and Dorothy Coker Fort; and one great grandson, David Lawton Bridgforth. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, David Acrill Fort. Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 3rd, 11:00AM in Oakland Cemetery on College Drive, Gaffney, SC, 29340, officiated by The Reverend Jenny Gettys.
