Harold B Prosser

Spartanburg, SC- Harold Prosser, 89, husband of the late Deloris “Dee” Prosser, died Friday, December 11, 2015. Born June 5, 1926 in Effingham, SC, Harold was a son of the late Lory B. and Lena McCown Prosser. He honorably served his country in the US Navy during WWII. Harold was a teacher with Spartanburg School District 7 and retired after many years of service. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 8 and a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Harold is survived by his children, Vernon L. Prosser (Terri) of York, SC, and DeAnn Henderson of Simpsonville, SC; grandchildren, Kimball, Mallory, and Myles Prosser; a brother, James Prosser (Mary) of Jacksonville, FL; and a sister, Ernestine Propst of Winder, GA. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by two sisters, Ethelyne Seymour and Ellawese Mitchell. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Interim Healthcare and Hospice and the dedicated staff of Inman Healthcare. Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 12th, 3PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, officiated by Reverend Dr. Kirk H. Neely. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
