Harold M. “Sonny” Cannon
Spartanburg, SC- Harold McMillan Cannon, 84, husband of Marjorie Coddington Cannon and the late Jeanne Lytle Cannon, died Wednesday, December 23, 2015.
Born September 26, 1931 in Spartanburg, SC, Sonny was a son of the late Harold McMillan Cannon, Sr. and Edna Reynolds Cannon. He graduated from Kentucky Military Institute and attended The Citadel and Wofford College. Sonny was the former owner of C. L. Cannon & Sons, Cannon Roofing Company, Inc., Roof Masters, Inc., and Canny Supply, Inc.
In addition to his wife of 31 years, Sonny is survived by his children, Teresa Cannon Mallory (Skip), Harold Russell Cannon, Christopher Lytle Cannon (Cara Lynn), William Chesley Cannon (Steve), Claude Swanson Finney (Christine), and Kathryn Finney White (David); grandchildren, Jeanne Love Hayes Parker (Brian), John Edward Rollins Hayes, III, Teresa McMillan Edwards, Harold McMillan Cannon, II (Maggie), Teresa “Buffy” Cannon Allen (Ryan), Lytle Cannon Fober (Christian), William Gregory Cannon, Harold Edwards Cannon, William Christopher Cannon, Chesley McNair Cannon, Marjorie Coddington White, David Grier White, Jr; great grandchildren, Emma, Cannon, and Mason Parker, Rollins Hayes, Jackson, Hayes, and Laine Edwards, Margaret Mills Cannon, Charlie, Henry, and Annie Allen; and canine companions, Shucks, Poo, and Doodles.
The family would like to thank their adopted family member, Brandi Wilkins, and everyone from Comfort Keepers.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, December 27th, 3:00PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, officiated by The Reverend Stephen Y. McGehee.
The family will receive friends at the graveside.
