William "Mike" Doyle

William “Mike” Doyle Inman – William Michael Doyle, son of the late Harry and Myrtle Casey Doyle, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016. Born April 22, 1943 in Spartanburg, he lived at Lake Bowen. He was the grandson of the late Lawrence and Anna Casey of Spartanburg. Mike worked in various industries. He was the manager of the former Palmetto Theater and the manager of the Elks Lodge in Union. Mike retired in 2015 after working 24 years as an assistant to Mr. and Mrs. Cary Findlay. During those years he traveled throughout the U.S. and to England and spent the last ten years primarily in the Asheville area. He was preceded in death by his two canine buddies, Max and Gulliver, who passed away last year after 16 years in his care. Mike attended Lake Bowen Baptist Church and served in several capacities as his health allowed. He enjoyed cooking and entertaining. He was loving, kind and generous. He loved the Lord. Mike is survived by an uncle and aunt, Kenneth and Francis Casey of Nashville, TN.; cousin and caregiver, Carole Casey Hyslop (David) of Roebuck and several other cousins. He leaves behind a special friend, Ms. Freddie Jones, who enriched his life with their many adventures. Mike wanted to acknowledge the following people who made his journey through life more rewarding and assisted him in various ways: David and Carole Hyslop, Steve Prince, Cary and Koni Findlay, Dean Simmons, Rev. Mark Williams, Cindy Womble, Clayton Saunderson, Rachel Stininger, Krystal Casey and David Hunter. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Mark Williams and Reverend Andrew Dionne. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lake Bowen Baptist Church; 404 Sugar Ridge Rd, Inman, SC 29349
