Daniel T. Rawls, Sr

Daniel T. Rawls, Sr Spartanburg – Daniel Terrell Rawls, Sr., 91, husband of the late Betty Jo Beeching Rawls, died Monday, March 14, 2015. He was born on June 6, 1924 in Hattiesburg, MS to the late James Edward Rawls, Sr. and Maude Pouncey Rawls. Dan joined a family-owned consumer finance company upon discharge from the Navy, where he graduated from both Tulane University and Harvard University. Over his 37 year career he moved from a branch clerk to a Senior Vice President. The Company today is known as Wells Fargo. Dan is survived by five Children, Nancy Lee, Daniel Rawls, Jr., Keith Rawls, Angie Miller, and Gene Rawls. He was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Dan was predeceased by his brother, James Edward Rawls, Jr., and his sister, Elizabeth Rawls Weil. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice; 101 Heywood Ave., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
