SSG Donald "Donnie" Douglas Hanson

Fort Bliss, TX- Donald Douglas Hanson, 28, died Saturday, March 12, 2016 by injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident. Born August 21, 1987 in Charlottesville, VA, Donnie was a son of Charles Douglas and Terri Lee McKinney Hanson. He attended Dorman High School. Donnie honorably served his country for 10 years in the United States Army, serving tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. In addition to his parents, Donnie is survived by his brother, Sergeant Charles Hanson and his wife, Samantha, of Clarksville, TN; two sisters, Shawna West and her husband, Todd, of Inman, SC, and Renee Hanson and Reggie Crocker of Boiling Springs, SC; his grandmother, Marlee McKinney of Knoxville, TN; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday, March 21st, 1-3PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Graveside services with military honors will follow at 3:30PM in Heritage Memorial Gardens, officiated by Reverend Ray Hellings.
