Shirley Mae Bryant Reece Spartanburg – Shirley “Nana” Reece, 70, wife of the late James Franklin Reece, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 25, 2016. Shirley was the daughter of the late Bonnie Jane and Sam Bryant. She is survived by her seven children; Rosemary Mckitrick, Denise & Tim Solesbee, Vickie & Buddy Powell, James & Angie Reece III, Allen & Lilly Howard, Mary & Gene Thomason, and the late Barbara Amaker & her spouse Maxie Amaker. Her sister Earlene & Gene Troxell and her brother Bobby & Jan Bryant. She has 20 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and two great great grandsons, and was predeceased by 2 grandsons. Shirley was a retired nurse and a Brownie Troop leader. She was a member of Peace Free Will Baptist Church. The family will receive family and friends at Peace Free will Baptist Church, 1195 Old Converse Rd, Spartanburg SC on Monday, March 28, 2016 from 6pm to 8pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Peace Free Will Baptist Church at 2 PM. Shirley will be laid to rest beside her husband at Heritage Memorial Park. The family is at the home of her son, James, 415 Ridgecrest Dr., Spartanburg, SC.
