Spartanburg, SC- Helen Boggs Garren, 86, wife of the late David Howard Garren, died Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Born April 22, 1929 in Pickens, SC, Helen was a daughter of the late John Conious and Avis Pauline McKell Boggs. She was a graduate of Pickens High School. Helen was senior director of Mary Kay Cosmetics for over 30 years. In addition, she was president of Piedmont Junior Women’s Club and volunteered at the preschool of First Baptist Church, where she was a member for over 60 years. Helen is survived by her daughters, Kim Stepp (Ronald) of Columbia, SC and Terrie Reames (Spann) of Hartsville, SC; her son, Walter Miller (Nancy); grandchildren, Edward Reames (Lauren), Ashley Reames, Holli Crabtree (Bryan), Stefanie Bagwell (Jameson), Courtney Stepp, Jayne and Jessica Miller; thirteen great grandchildren; brothers, Bobby and Jack Boggs. She was predeceased by a brother, Billy Boggs; and sister, Betty B. Hunter. A visitation will be held Saturday, April 23rd, 2:00 – 3:00 PM in the E. Gibson Davis Chapel of First Baptist Church Spartanburg. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the home of her granddaughter, Stefanie Bagwell, 3029 North Blackstock Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
