Marguerite Sherbert Hayes

Spartanburg, SC- Marguerite Sherbert Hayes, 77, wife of the late Raymond Hayes and lifetime member of the Camp Croft Community, died Friday, April 29, 2016 at White Oak Manor in Spartanburg. Born January 12, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Elmore and Bertha Cook Shertbert. Marguerite retired with Spartanburg School District 7 after many years of service. She was a long-time and devoted member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Marguerite is survived by her son, Neal Hayes (Pat); one grandson; her sisters, Carolyn Stenger, Dorothy Geddes, and Edith Brock; and sister in-law, Gayle Sherbert. She was predeceased by a brother and sister. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 3rd, 10AM in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 105 McKay Ave, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
