Louise Cross May

Pauline, SC- Louise Cross May, 84, wife of the late Clarence Calvin May, Sr., died Sunday, July 3, 2016. Born May 18, 1932 in Bradley, Arkansas, Louise was the daughter of the late Arlton Chester and Theo Doshie Matlock Cross. She participated in the Truth Seekers Sunday School Class and was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church since 1978. Louise is survived by her son, Clarence Calvin May, Jr. (Kathy) of Pauline, SC; daughter, Doris May Ballard (Jeff) of Pauline, SC; grandchildren, James May (Jamie), Andrea Shafto (Dave), Jessica Carlson (Jonathan), Darin Edwards (Hannah), and Jessi Sandlin (Cody); five great grandchildren, Lyndsay Shafto, Lukas and Hayden May, Addisyn and Ansley Edwards; her brother, S. Marvin Cross (Mary) of Arkansas; a sister, Joyce C. Smith of Spartanburg, SC; brother in-law, Will May (Dorothy) of Arkansas; and two sisters in-law, Ruth Lambeth of Arkansas and Myrtle Lambeth of Texas. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Theo Chester Cross. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 10th, 6-8PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 11th, 3PM at Philadelphia Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
