Greenville, SC- George Frothingham born May 4, 1958 passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 3, 2016. George was the only son of Dr. Georgia Frothingham, who taught Latin at Christ Episcopal School and Benjamin T. Frothingham, who both predeceased him. He was born, May 4, 1958, and raised in Greenville and attended Christ Episcopal School for 13 years, graduating in 1977. He majored in history at Erskine College, graduating in 1981. After, he worked briefly in Greenville and then moved to Dallas, TX in 1983 where his cousin, Chuck, helped him find employment with Budget Rental Company. He returned to Greenville in 2015 and was employed with Goodwill Industries until the time of his death. He is survived by his cousins, Chuck Dale (Beverly) of Heath, TX and Joyce Schultz (Brian) of Lumberton, NJ; an aunt Mrs. John McKenney Sr. and cousins: John McKenney, David McKenney, Jane McKenney (Fuerst), Mary Ellen McKenney (Chase), George McKenney, George Anderson and Richard Long. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 21st, 10:30AM, at Christ Church Episcopal. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Goodwill Industries, 115 Haywood Road, Greenville, SC 29607 or to the Georgia Frothingham Scholarship at Christ Church Episcopal School, 245 Cavalier Drive, Greenville, SC 29607.
