Sara Wheeler Sexton

Spartanburg, SC- Sara Wheeler Sexton, 84, wife of Frank Sexton, Sr., died Sunday, August 7, 2016. Born February 20, 1932 in Spartanburg, SC, Sara was a daughter of the late Luke and Lillian Varner Wheeler. She was a graduate of Spartanburg High School. Sara was employed for many years as a secretary with Sally Forster Gift Wrap before she retired. She was a lifetime member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Sara was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Frank Sexton, Jr. (Terre) of Moore, SC and Steven Sexton (Susan) of Woodruff, SC; a daughter, Pamela Shirley (Stephen) of Spartanburg, SC; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sandy Ridings of Woodruff, SC. She was predeceased by a sister, Edith Leslie. The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Regency Hospice, 880 S. Pleasantburg Drive, Suite 1A, Greenville, SC 29607.
