Phyllis Hawkins Moore

Spartanburg, SC- Phyllis Diane Hawkins Moore, 61, beloved and devoted wife of W. Howard Moore, died Monday, August 29, 2016. Born August 25, 1955 in Boiling Springs, SC, Phyllis was a daughter of the late H. C. and Ruby Roberts Hawkins. She was a longtime member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church and retired as owner and operator of Blimpie Subs and Salads of Spartanburg and Greenville. Phyllis dedicated her life to lovingly serving others, through her church and several nursing homes. Her selflessness was inspirational to those who knew her. Phyllis was an avid baker and enjoyed blessing others with her talents. In addition to her husband, Phyllis is survived by her sister, Patricia Whitford and her husband, Ronald, of Boiling Springs, SC; sister in-law, Diane Moore Flanagan of El Paso, TX; and her adored nephews, Chris Whitford of Boiling Springs, SC, Kevin Flanagan of Austin, TX, and Ryan Flanagan of Dallas, TX. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 1st, 6-8PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 2nd, 11AM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
