Carol Ledley Gault, Jr.

Spartanburg, SC- Carol Ledley Gault, Jr., 94, husband of the late Vera White Gault, died Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Born January 2, 1922 in Jonesville, SC, Carol was a son of the late Carol Ledley Gault, Sr. and Emma Gregory Gault. After graduating from Jonesville High School, Carol attended Robinson Business College. He honorably served his country in the US Navy and was a sales representative with Mid State Mills for many years before his retirement. Carol will always be remembered for his roast beef sandwiches. He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church. Carol is survived by his nephew, Mike Bailey; and niece, Susan Bennett. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his brother, T. F. Gault; and sister, Emily Bailey. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 24th, 10-11AM at St. James United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11AM in the sanctuary, officiated by Reverend J. Wayne Smith, Jr. Burial with military honors will be held in New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery in Jonesville, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303 or St. James United Methodist Church, 213 N Lanford Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
