Spartanburg, SC- Susan Hall Fisher, daughter of Kathleen and Frank Hall, passed away peacefully at the age of 56 on Saturday, September 24, 2016.
Susan was a graduate of Spartanburg High School (’78), Wofford College (’82), where she was a proud Kappa Delta, and Converse College (’99). She also taught history at Dorman High School.
A devoted mother and wife, Susan is survived by her husband, Stephen F. Fisher, as well as her three children: Brian Vetter, and wife, Alyson (New York City), Mary Kate Vetter and partner, Gabe Porter (Spartanburg), and Connor Vetter (Spartanburg), as well as three step children: Lou Wiltfang and husband, Perry (Spartanburg), Ann Blair Gurganus and husband, Kemp (Spartanburg), and Stephen Fisher (Mt. Pleasant), and four cherished grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Jeffrey A. Hall (Washington, DC), her beloved dogs, Cooper and Maddie, and so many close friends. The family extends special thanks to Teresa Hernandez, who was Susan’s caregiver and special friend.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 27th, 6-8PM at Dunbar Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 28th, 2PM at First Baptist Church Spartanburg.
A private interment will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in the Heritage Mausoleum.
