George Andrew Psaltis

Moore, SC- George Andrew Psaltis, 81, husband of Joan Greenberg Psaltis, died Wednesday, September 28, 2016. Born June 2, 1935 in New York, NY, George was the son of the late Andrew George and Margaret Baiersdorfer Psaltis. He was a graduate of Bayside High School and Pennsylvania Military College. George honorably served his country in the U.S. Airforce. He was an extraordinary salesman who could sell almost anything, but mostly sold cars for over 40 years. He lived most of his life in Huntington, NY, before retiring to Moore, SC. He was an avid collector of antique telephones and guns, and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his wife, George is survived by his sons, Andrew George Psaltis (Kimberly), Michael Scott Psaltis (Elizabeth), and Douglas Adam Psaltis (Hsing); a daughter, Jennifer Dawn P. Mabry (Jim); grandchildren, George Andrew Psaltis, Gabrella Ann Psaltis, Kaylee Elizabeth Knox, Emma Grace Knox, and Violet Quentin Psaltis; and sister, Cleo Burrows. A memorial service will be held Monday, October 3rd, 4:00PM at Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Dr. D. J. Horton.
