Mary Malone Jewell

Spartanburg, SC- Mary Malone Jewell, 86, wife of the late F. L. Jewell, died Friday, November 11, 2016. Born March 4, 1930 in Spartanburg, SC, Mary was the daughter of the late Arthur and Rosa Lee Cooke Malone. She retired from Bellsouth after 30 years of service. Mary was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Everette (Chris), Dona White (Josh), and Carolyn Jewell; grandchildren, Aaron Everette, Brandon Shreve (Tracy), Kristen McElhaney (Jamie), Zachary Laney, Ashley Thompson (Chris), Chad Laney, Heather Laney, and Chase Cole; six great grandchildren; and a sister, Patricia Malone Pruitt of Charleston, SC. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, James Malone; and brother-in-law, Ray D Pruitt. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 15th, from 2-3 pm, at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3 pm in the Chapel, officiated by Pastor and esteemed cousin, Lu Ann Pettit. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
