Danny Ray Hughes

Spartanburg, SC- Danny Ray Hughes, 66, husband of Ava Jennings Hughes, died Monday, December 5, 2016. Born August 2, 1950 in Spartanburg, SC, Danny was a son of the late John T. and Curtis Sumner Hughes. He received his Masters of Education from USC and was a lifelong member of Roebuck Presbyterian Church where he served as a past Deacon, Elder, Sunday School teacher, and Choir member. In addition to his beloved wife, Danny is survived by his son, Matthew Hughes (Shelly) of Moore, SC; his brothers, Larry Hughes (Libby) of Pauline, SC and Ronnie Hughes (Becky) of Cowpens, SC; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 7th, 3PM in Roebuck Presbyterian Church Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Dr. Richard Winston.
