Hubert Dean Waldrep

Spartanburg, SC- Hubert Dean Waldrep, 82, husband of Mary Jones Waldrep, died Saturday, December 10, 2016. Born December 3, 1934 in Enoree, SC, Hubert was a son of the late Reid and Eva Burke Waldrep. He served Spartanburg County for 58 years. Hubert was a lifetime member of the Roebuck Masonic Lodge 357, an avid fisherman, and of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife, Hubert is survived by his son, Brian Waldrep (Sharon) of Wellford, SC; a daughter, Amy Atkins (Blake) of Roebuck, SC; grandchildren, Matthew Atkins (Hannah), Nicholas Atkins (Connor Quinn), and Ava Waldrep; four great grandchildren, Caesin, Emma, Colt, and Reid Atkins; an uncle, Broadus Waldrop (Iris) of Enoree, SC; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Cletus Waldrep and his wife, Sandra. Graveside services with masonic rites will be held Wednesday, December 14th, 3PM in Heritage Memorial Gardens, officiated by Reverend John Huckaby. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cavins Baptist Church, 1707 SJ Workman Highway, Woodruff, SC 29388.
