Margaret S. Cherry Leesville, SC- Margaret Steadman Cherry, 88, wife of the late Norman D. Cherry, died Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Born December 8, 1928 in Spartanburg, SC, Margaret was a daughter of the late Joe and Eva Hipp Steadman. She was retired from JC Penny. Margaret is survived by her daughters, Norma Jean Rodgers (Tommy) of Leesville, SC, Linda Daniels of Spartanburg, SC, and Katherine Sightler of Surfside Beach, SC; five grandchildren, Nikki Daniels, Jamie Daniels (Stephanie), Mathew Daniels (Brandi), Kenna Carter, and Dustin Carter; and six great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Thelma Lancaster; and son in-law, James Daniels. A memorial service will be held at 2:30PM on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Rod Lewis.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A private family interment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303 or to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 2900 N.
