William Isaac Seagrist

Lyman, SC- William Isaac Seagrist, 81, husband of Janet Rae Hoffner Seagrist, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Born March 11, 1935 in Halifax, PA, William was the son of the late Oscar Henry and Esther Biever Seagrist. He honorably served his country in the US Navy for 21 years. William loyally served his church, family, friends, and his country throughout his life. He was a member of Westgate Baptist Church, volunteering his time for many years with the Christian School. William’s faithful presence in the lives of his family, friends, and church will be sorely missed. In addition to his beloved wife of 58 years, William is survived by five sons, Edward, Henry, Bill, Tom, and Robert Seagrist; eight grandsons; three granddaughters; one great grandson; and one great granddaughter. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 25th, 9-9:45AM at Westgate Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 10 AM, conducted by Reverend Dr. Bill Bethea. Burial with military honors will be held in Graceland East Cemetery in Simpsonville, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westgate Christian School, 1990 Old Reidville Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
