Joyce Evelyn Cross SmithMoore – Joyce Cross Smith, 82, wife of the late Ernest “Buddy” Smith, died Wednesday, March 1, 2017.Joyce, formally of Bradley, AR, was born on November 24, 1934 to the late Arlton Chester and Theo Doshie Matlock Cross. She was a graduate of Bradley High school, played professional basketball with the Arkansas Travelers, and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Joyce was a member of Westside Baptist Church.She is survived by brother, Samuel Cross (Mary) of AR; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.Joyce was predeceased by her two sons, a brother, and her sister.The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Dunbar Funeral Home.A funeral service will be held at a later date in AR.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bradley Baptist Church; PO Box 420, Bradley, AR 71826 or the Alzheimer's Association; 901 S Pine St, Spartanburg, SC 29302.Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.jmdunbar.comDunbar Funeral Home& Crematory
