Lester Julian Crowe

Moore, SC- Lester Julian Crowe, 74, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at his home. Born October 11, 1942 in Rutherford County, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Lemuel Lester and Edith Lenore Queen Crowe. Lester was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. He was a career long distance truck driver, where he was the recipient of the Million Mile Award, and was of the Baptist faith. Lester is survived by his former wife, Patricia Moore Weaver; his brother, James Larry Crowe; a sister, Catherine Lynn Griffin; and a grandson, Jacob Murray. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three sons, Lester Scott, Russell Brian, and Adam Bradley Crowe; a brother, Lonnie Curtis Crowe; and brother in-law, Henry Cole Griffin. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 7th, 11-12noon, at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12PM in the Chapel, officiated by Chaplain Donna Stroud. Burial will be held in Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
