Spartanburg, SC- Ferol Bernice Chapman, 86, wife of the late Elwin Leland Chapman, Sr., died Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at her home. Born March 19, 1930 in Jonesville, SC, Bernice was the daughter of the late Arthur William Craig, Sr. and Beulah Beatrice Ochiltree Craig. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and Mary Black School of Nursing. Bernice was employed with Mary Black for over 45 years as a Registered Nurse. She was a long time member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she had many leadership callings within the church. Bernice is survived by her sons, Lee Chapman (Renita) of Spartanburg, SC and Mike Chapman (Angie) of Fallbrook, CA; a daughter, Elizabeth Williams (Troy) of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Lee Chapman, III (Kim), Melissa Blumell (Lincoln), Brook Rasmussen (Dave), Kell Chapman (Lindsay), Dusty Williams, Mike Chapman, Jr. (Nida), Daniel Chapman (Megan), and Keri Morris (Nathan); twenty one great and great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Bill Craig (Vivian) of Jonesville, SC. The family will receive friends Friday, March 10th, 6:30-8:30PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 11th, 1:00PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, officiated by Bishop Aaron Harmon. Burial will follow in Mt. Gilead Church Cemetery in Jonesville, SC.
