Albert Earley McLuckie

Albert Earley McLuckie, age 92, passed away peacefully at his residence on February 22, 2024. He was born in Patterson New Jersey, January 8th, 1932. He was preceded in death by his parents John McLuckie, Sr. and Hannah Earley McLuckie, one sister, Florence Hoffmeister, and one brother, John McLuckie, Jr. He was an US Army veteran of the Korean war. Albert graduated from Philadelphia University and enjoyed a 45-year career in chemical research in textiles. Albert was a long-time member of St. Christophers Episcopal Church. Albert was a loving father, grandfather, and husband. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Eleanor Stafford McLuckie of Spartanburg, one daughter, Linda Hayes (Philip) of Moore SC, two sons, Alan McLuckie (Penny) of Roanoke VA and James McLuckie of Washington DC, and seven beloved grandchildren. The family expresses a heartfelt thank you to all of his caregivers and especially to Wanda and Lakeisha. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Agape Hospice Care of Spartanburg or your favorite charity.
