Alecia Palmer

Spartanburg, SC- Alecia Palmer, formerly of Gaffney, 68, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born August 19, 1954 to the late Jonathan and Zora Palmer, Alecia graduated from Gaffney High School and continued her education at Spartanburg Community College, earning an associate’s degree in Administrative Office Technology. She had a long career with AT&T, previously known as Southern Bell, and subsequently worked at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Gaffney Outlet Marketplace, and the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind.

Alecia loved penguins, cats, firefighters, and decorating her home for the holidays. She also enjoyed going out to eat and gathering with friends at the home of her childhood friend, Carol.

She is survived by her sister, Martha Palmer Frye (Walter); her nephews, Wally Frye (Lindsey) and Jonathan Frye; and her niece, Elizabeth Tripp (Jordan). Alecia loved her great nieces and nephews, Lyla Cate, Wals, Evelyn, and Palmer.

The family would like to thank her doctor, Dorotea Gable, and the staff at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

A service of Remembrance will be held Saturday, January 21^st, 3:00PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following.
