Alonzo Alexander Fretwell

Alonzo Alexander (Zander) Fretwell, Jr., age 56, died at home in Joshua Tree, California on March 23, 2023.

Zander was born and raised in Spartanburg, SC.  He was the son of the late Alonzo Alexander Fretwell, Sr., and Louise Williamson Fretwell.  He was predeceased by his brother, Charles Burlington Fretwell, II, of Boiling Springs, SC.  Zander is survived by his sister, Susan Alexander Fretwell of Spartanburg, SC.

Zander was a 1986 Spartanburg High School graduate.  In addition to degrees from the Fashion Institute of Technology, he had a BS in Computer Science from UNLV.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC.  The family will receive friends immediately after the service.
