Alvin A. McAbee

Alvin A. McAbee Roebuck – Alvin A. McAbee, 87, husband of the late Paula Jean Miller McAbee, died Thursday, September 20, 2018. He was born on May 10, 1931, to the late Wilford A. and Annie Faye Strange McAbee.  Alvin honorably served his country in the US Air Force, he was a graduate of Cecil’s Business College and Co-founder of Roebuck Greenhouses. Alvin was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where he served in many areas of ministry. He was especially honored with his work with the church building and finance committees. Alvin is survived by daughters, Debbie McAbee Clark (Allen, O. Jr.) of Spartanburg, Vicky McAbee Noe (Jerry) of Roebuck, Ricky A. McAbee (Joy) of Roebuck; and his sister, Ann McAbee Bible-Batson (Tom) of Greenville. He was blessed with six grandchildren, Allen O. Clark III (Jennifer), Molly Clark Conklin (Josh), Elizabeth McAbee, Emily McAbee Lucas (John), Erin McAbee, Patrick McAbee Noe; seven great-grandchildren, Allie Varn, Mac Lucas, Hutch Lucas, Belle Lucas, Samuel Clark, Clark Conklin, and Millie Conklin. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Moore, SC. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Jim Oliver and Reverend Joey Burnett. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church Building Fund; PO Box 229, Roebuck, SC 29376.
